Oracle Fights Childhood Cancer with Databases
American computing giant Oracle has teamed up with an Egyptian non-profit organization to accelerate research efforts into cancer cures.
For decades, the National Association of Friends of the National Cancer Free Initiative (AFNCI) has been working to create quality infrastructure and drive cancer care research in Egypt in a bid to ensure early detection and patient recovery.
As part of this, it has enlisted the support of Oracle to implement a range of analytics, mobile capabilities, security and social collaboration tools. The firm is helping AFNCI to digitize a number of core business functions across its unit, including its children’s cancer hospital.
These photos were made while working beside a video production team. In a single day we documented the work that Oracle has been doing. Oracle has been a repeat customer and I love telling the stories of how their software is used around the world.
